"Life is hard when you don’t know who you are. It’s harder when you don’t know *what* you are. ...
I was lost for years. Searching while hiding. ...
I won’t hide anymore. I will live the life I choose."
-- Bo Dennis, "Lost Girl"
This band took a lot of crap when they first came out, due to the extent to which people believed them to be nothing but a Led Zeppelin copycat band. The "joke" going around was that they were more properly named "Kingdom Clone." Jimmy Page repeated this name for the band in an interview. And yet their first single (this song) went gold the day it was shipped. While I believe the Led Zeppelin influence is obvious, lead guitarist Danny Stag said his biggest influence was Jimi Hendrix, and I don't believe it's fair to write this band off as a mere Led Zeppelin ripoff. Other influences are obvious as well, and the band was really quite good. I understand they're still around, but unfortunately, I only know their earliest work, from their debut album.
